Minnneapolis Art Lending Library

2013 - present
Ongoing organization and project

Julia Caston co-founded the Minneapolis Art Lending Library. Originally operating out of an apartment, the MALL is now a nonprofit organization with over 100 pieces in its collection, representing local and national artists. Patrons have the opportunity to borrow original works of art for two months at a time, free of charge. Though Caston stepped down from the management of the MALL in 2015 in order to attend graduate school, it is still thriving under the leadership of its executive director and board.
