Minnneapolis Art Lending Library
2013 - 2021
Community Art Project and Nonprofit Organization
Julia Caston, Larsen Husby, and Mac Balentine co-founded the Minneapolis Art Lending Library. Originally operating out of an apartment, the MALL became a nonprofit organization with over 100 pieces in its collection, representing local and national artists. Patrons had the opportunity to borrow original works of art for two months at a time, free of charge. Though Julia stepped down from the management of the MALL in 2015 in order to attend graduate school, the organization operated until 2021 under new leadership.
